November Snow Available on Kindle

6 Jan

Due to numerous requests, I’m excited to say November Snow is now available on Kindle.

On the right side of my page, you’ll see the Kindle Version link, and you can visit my new Amazon page. However, I’m trying to work with Amazon to combine my two pages (paperback and kindle), but they are separate for now. Paperback is now selling for $7.99 too! So there’s a lot of new prices with this availability:

In the city of Vendona, bad bloods aren’t considered human; they aren’t even considered animals. They are lower than that. The parents of these creatures abandon them. The cities shun them, and the government massacres them.

In 2089, an election threatens a revolt, and two bad bloods meet. Among the chaos, their accidental relationship reveals a twisted history, and citizens are forced to make a decision. Battles begin, love blossoms, and three brothers’ past repeats, while bad bloods focus on their only goal: to survive.
And very few of them will.

Amazon also gave me an Author Page, so Enjoy!

3 P.M. Update: Here are some reviews of “November Snow”

By Raul: 5 Stars: Format:Paperback

I love this book, the characters have such a personal feel to them. All with their own struggles along with their major one; being hated and feared by everyone. I can’t wait for the sequel, or for any other books to come out by Ashlee.

Great book for any YA Fantasy lovers out there. With every turn of your digi page it keeps you wanting to read more and more. Definitely won’t just be a onetime read for me. I will definitely recommend this to my friends.

this book was great in my opinion because i could really relate to this novel which made me more interested and she describes the characters and scenes so well which gives you a nice visual of this world she has written about.

Relax & Read: The Host

21 Dec

Happy Doomsday.

I hope we’re all still alive, unlike the Mayan calendar predicted (which isn’t true if you’ve researched, but that’s not the point…Right?)

However, since the end of the world is supposedly today’s main event, I thought I would share a novel with that concept. tumblr_m3v4chx2xc1qm6yt5o1_250

“The Host” by Stephanie Meyer takes place on earth after we’re invaded by human hosts who, honestly, make the world a better place to live.

When Melanie is taken over, however, she rebels by staying within her body, and working with her “Wanderer” in order to survive. Strangely enough, her Wanderer begins fighting with her, and they work together in her body to save the human existence.

Read more about the novel here.

And the movie (which comes out in March) here.

Relax & Read: Dreamland

5 Dec

As many of you know, I live in Kansas, so I’ve gotten a few emails asking my opinion on the situation with Jovan Belcher.

For those of you who did not see this in the news, Chief’s player, Jovan Belcher, committed murder-suicide against his girlfriend, leaving his 3-month-old daughter.

Read more about it here.

However, like the Amanda Todd case, I would rather not give my opinion as I did not know Belcher personally nor the troubles he and/or his loved ones are going through. Instead, I will bring to light the unfortunate topic of domestic abuse.

If you or a loved one is a victim of domestic abuse, this is the national helpline.

I like to teach with novels, however, because I am very passionate over the topic–obviously–and the most emotional rendering YA novel I have read in regards to abusive relationship is “Dreamland” by Sarah Dessen.dreamland1

After her older sister abandons the family, Caitlin begins a dangerous relationship with Rogerson Biscoe. Severely disturbed, Caitlin fights for her love, his life, and discovers the truth through the eyes of her camera lens.

Read more about it here.

Again, please seek help if you are a victim or know one, but, in the mean time, inform yourself in order to possibly help another in the future.
