Welcome!

I write romantic fantasy where magic is real and love is dangerous.
My books are full of genre-blending plot twists and impossible choices that will make you suffer in the best way possible. (Not to mention so. much. yearning.)
Two of my romantic fantasy series are now available:
🗡 Minutes Before Sunset – a Midwest-inspired rural romantasy where the “dark side” are actually the good guys (and everyone has two faces—literally!)
⚡ Bad Bloods – a dark dystopian fantasy that’s part X-Men, part rebellion, all heart (& found family)
When I’m not writing, I work in Art Rights & Permissions at Penguin Random House Audio and bake cookies at midnight while binging K-dramas. I’m also a cat mom to two mischievous gremlins. I’m represented by Gallt & Zacker Literary agency.

What a great background and your passion for writing really shines through :). Thanks so much for stopping by and following me Shannon, I will read your book when I can (I like the synopsis ^^). All the best with your up-coming endeavour and have a great weekend :).
Thank you for the encouragement, Jackie! Have a great weekend as well 😀
~SAT
Thanks :).
Thanks so much for the follow! I’m very much looking forward to checking out your blog. The fact that you published a novel at 16 is so impressive! I would love to write a novel one day but I never seem to have the time or the patience to finish a major project 😛
I look at it this way: just write. Writing is important. Don’t concentrate on finishing one at first. Once you find the novel that is meant to be written, it will happen as easy and as necessary as breathing.
I hope you find time and the novel you wish to write.
~SAT
Inspirational, Shannon 🙂
Wishing you Love & Light, Peace & Harmony, All Ways, Always ~*♥*~
I’m very flattered that I can be inspirational for others.
Thank you for your comment, Ingrid.
P.S.
I love your name (I have a soft spot for Casablanca’s Ingrid Bergman)

You will surely see me stop by and say hello to your blog space 😉 All the best, Jenny
I am a Packers fan by marriage (equally he’s a 49ers fan), and so appreciate Sylvia Plath’s work. I drink too much tea, but then, it hasn’t killed me yet, ha ha…
You do your mom’s memory proud; may your writing continue to honor her, and bring light to all who find it! And thanks for following my blog… 🙂
If I’m not drinking coffee, I’m drinking tea, so I’m right there with you on that.
Thank you for your words about my mother’s memory. Very touching.

Hey thanks for the follow, Hope you enjoy my blog, you have a great blog here.
Hi Shannon, thanks for visiting my blog and for following. It’s amazing that you published your first novel at age 16; what I great start you’re off to. It is lovely what you wrote about your mom being both your inspiration to start writing and your impetus to continue. Best of luck with your novel-in-progress.
Hi Shannon! Appreciate the follow on my little blog 🙂 All the best on your writing endeavours!
This is a wonderful bio. Thank you so much for following my blog! Looking forward to following yours! 🙂
Hi Shannon,
Thanks for the follow! I am always pleased to find out about new authors, but I get especially happy when I see young authors pursuing their dream.
I love that in this “brave new world of publishing” young authors finally have a way to get their voices out there. I also began writing at a young age, but my biggest regret is not committing to writing and publishing my first novel sooner. Best of luck to you, and I can’t wait to read more of your posts. 🙂
Hey Shannon,
Thanks for the follow. Although you have only started writing this blog, I already want to come back. 🙂 It seems that we have a lot in common, including writing a novel at the age of 16 and having a black cat. I will definetely be reading more of your blog in the future.
Hey, thanks for following! I hope your next book will be a success. Cheers!
Best of luck in your writing endeavors!!! I love your bio 🙂
–Thank you for stopping by my blog, Whimsically Yours, and liking my post, BOOKTOBERFEST! http://whimsicallyours.com/2012/10/02/booktoberfest/.
It’s always great to connect with a fellow writer 🙂
Connecting with fellow writers is always a favorite hobby of mine!

Shannon.
Thankyou for reading my scribblings, it’s always nice when somebody appreciates, sees and feels something other than just words on a page.
Colin
Shannon, we have a lot in common—I am also in your age group, wrote a novel, and let’s be honest—my running track at the gym is exclusively on Pandora’s doo-wop station. Many say I am a 90 year old in a 21 year old body. I non-egotistically sum that up to mean “iridescent.” It’s so great to see more people like you out there! Keep up the good work 🙂
Hi Shannon, thanks for checking out and liking some of my posts. It’s given me the chance to come back and read more on your amazing blog 🙂
Hi Shannon, Thanks for the like and thank you for following my blog. Lots of good posts are scheduled. I’ll be back to read your blog and check out your book soon. Jan
You seem like a wonderful person, I can’t wait to read more about you and Humphrey!
(I have a dog that I love entirely too much as well).
Hey Shannon.
I think you’ve got a lovely setup here. Hope to keep reading from you. After the post, I finally started working on my novel today. Let’s see where it goes. I have a habit of losing the plot once I start writing!
Peace.
Kabir
Hi, thanks for visiting Inkspeare; looking forward to read some of your posts as well 🙂
Driving manual rocks! 🙂 I’m looking forward to reading some more from you!
You published your first book at 16? 😮
I’m so jealous.
Greetings fellow writer!
Thanks for stopping by The Shift. Just wondering (because I hope to publish a novel someday), how exactly did you publish November Snow?
~Tiberius Shift~
Contact me via my contact page, and I’ll send you whatever you want to know 😀

My goodness you’ve already accomplished so much at such a young age. Well done! Keep it up!! I’m looking forward to reading your book, and future blogs.
Thanks for the follow. I’m looking forward to checking out your work!
Such a life you have had, already. Simply amazing. I’m always surprised at who I will meet, when someone visits my neck of the woods. But I am glad to have made your acquaintance. Hopefully, we will “run into one another”, again, soon.
lol – manuals are miles more fun to drive! My daughter jokes that I take corners like a racing driver. Then again, she can’t talk because she has a lead foot!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and following!
Thanks for the follow! Right back atcha!
I love Bogart. I have a black cat that is named Atticus Finch. I wish you luck and any predictions for March Madness this year? Will Kansas win 🙂
I hope they win! Funny you say your cat’s name is Atticus Finch. One of my good friends, Grace (who I did an “Inspirational Meet” post on), has a cat named Atticus
~SAT
Atticus is a cool name, but I won’t tell my cat that his name isn’t original. I still haven’t told him who he’s named after. I think it would crush him–even though his ego would survive. Typical cat. Since moving to London I can’t watch many college sports and man I miss them. Keep me posted on March madness 😉
Hi there, thanks for following my blog 🙂
You are so right darling girl, how could we POSSIBLY name our favourite novel! i read them all too, even the rubbish ones.. and i read the good ones twice.. good morning! c
Thanks for liking Marti Ink Shannon!
Hi Shannon, as a fellow Casablanc-ian and college senior I look forward to reading your posts 🙂
Thanks so much for liking my post on S.J. Perelman. I thoroughly enjoy your blog. And this old man admires your success at such a young age,
Hola Shannon! And that is about all the spanish I know…, lol! Enjoyed reading your intro. and your last blog post. Thanks for checking out mine and finding it interesting enough to follow. I wish you the best of luck in your writing endeavors, but it sounds like you’re not going to need much of that because it seems you’ve already got a lot going for you. And so I say, adieu, before this becomes a monotonous ramble.
It’s great meeting you Shannon, and I’m right there with you ~~> Love Garth Stein and Jonathan Safran Foer!
Hello Sharon , how wonderful to know that you want to be a writer and to be one also at your age! I did not get to write until last year and then only after I had broken my back. I was very angry at life and felt my life was up! But a physiologist suggested I write my anger out and boy I did. Now I write because I love to. Anyway I am so grateful that you have wanted to follow my blog and now having read your jubilant ‘about’ II shall definitely follow you too! All the best for now and power to your keyboard!
Wow, we have a lot in common other than I didn’t start writing fiction until my late twenties. The reading part is the about the same, though, as well as prefering a stick shift and living in many states! It’s great that you got into writing so young and have stuck with it. Good luck in all your endeavors!
Thanks for visiting my blog Shannon. I’m TWICE your age and yet not quite got my novel or my self-published book projects out yet so I am VERY jealous of your success! Best wishes for the future 🙂
Wow!!!!! You’ve achieved more than most people whom I used to know… Those that have moved on to higher places 🙂
Well Done!
Thank you for stopping by.
Wow! You’ve achieved more than most ever will in a lifetime….. Well done!
Thanks for stopping by…
Shannon, thanks for the follow. Best of luck on your next project.
Thanks for following my blog, Shannon. We share a taste in classical music, so you might like the short story I posted at http://geoffreygudgion.com/short-stories/ Try it with the piano accompaniment in the link.
I look forward to hearing more about your next project. Good luck
Hi Shannon, thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m looking forward to getting to know you better 🙂
Published at the age of 16… you don’t see that a lot : )
Thanks for the follow, one knows when one is in the presence of a good writer.
Enjoy your weekend.
I love that your cat is called Humphrey Bogart!! Brilliant 😀
Very heartening to know you’re out there, Shannon, and I’m glad something in hereticablog speaks to you. From one writer to another. I also come from a family of black cat lovers.
Thanks for stopping by the Sunshine Scrapbook and following my blog 🙂 From what I’ve seen on yours, you write really well! Keep up the great work 🙂
Dear Shannon, thank you so much for the blog following, I am delighted it has led me to your blog. I love coffee too, but I drink decaff now – I wrote a wee poem on my blog called ‘The Coffee In Your Cup’ – you might want to check it out too, since you’re a coffee lover. Have a beautiful day.
