About

Welcome!

CwdWbODUQAAdrqY

I write romantic fantasy where magic is real and love is dangerous.

My books are full of genre-blending plot twists and impossible choices that will make you suffer in the best way possible. (Not to mention so. much. yearning.)

Two of my romantic fantasy series are now available:

🗡 Minutes Before Sunset – a Midwest-inspired rural romantasy where the “dark side” are actually the good guys (and everyone has two faces—literally!)
Bad Bloods – a dark dystopian fantasy that’s part X-Men, part rebellion, all heart (& found family)

When I’m not writing, I work in Art Rights & Permissions at Penguin Random House Audio and bake cookies at midnight while binging K-dramas. I’m also a cat mom to two mischievous gremlins. I’m represented by Gallt & Zacker Literary agency.

Ready to chat books? ☕ You can reach me at via my Contact page. I’ll be drinking coffee when I read your message.

Talk to you soon!

  1. Thanks for liking my post and following me, Shannon. I’ll keep an eye out for your name and buy a copy or two of your work for the school library if I can!

  2. Shannon you are such an inspiring young woman.
When I read your about me page it sounded much like me at that age and then I got married and life happened and changed my course. But as you know since you have so kindly followed my blog I am back at it again in my old(er) age and hope that I can be as successful as you.
Congratulations on all your success and I look forward to watching you become a mega star!

  3. You got me with the black cat (I’m on my third) and the love of reading and writing. You have a catching enthusiasm. Good luck with your career. Thanks for following my blog!

  4. Thanks for connecting with me. It’s important that hard-work is acknowledged and appreciated. I feel sometime that writers are seen as serious artist, when nothing could be further from the truth. Good luck with your work and passion.

  5. Thanks for visiting and following my blog, Shannon. I’m impressed with your work — so many great successes and achievements ahead of you!

  6. I just wanted to say hello and thanks for visiting my blog. I, too, drink way too much coffee and love my cat (all white) a bit too much. 🙂 I look forward to reading your work!

  7. I love that you’re only 21 and your favorite actor is Humphrey Bogart. Plus the reading, writing and drinking too much coffee … are you sure you’re not my kid?

You sound like an old soul who treasures substance over style. May we meet up again, out here in cyberspace, my friend.

  8. You are an inspiration, young lady! Thanks for liking & following my “t” blog. If you ever want to write a guest post from your perspective, feel free to contact me… I never tire of talking either:)
    Clara.

  9. I follow your blog and I saw something that you might like. Considering your passion for writing.

It’s a screen-capture video Brandon Sanderson posted of himself writing his next book in real-time. ( he is the guy who they paid to come in and finish “Wheel of Time”

    anyway peace 🙂

  10. thanks for deciding to follow me! i am very please that a young writer such as yourself should come along and like some of my stuff… I think that you like your cat just enough – we have always had cats since we’ve lived in a house,,, and have loved them all.

  12. I just wanted to personally thank you for following my blog. This is a brand-new part of life for me, so there’s little doubt that I’ll be making lots of mistakes as I learn; but I really want you to know how much I appreciate your support. I also plan to follow you, so – if for some reason I am not one of your followers, let me know.

  13. Probably the best About page I have seen. Your cat is adorable, and great name! Much appreciation for stopping by my blog and deciding to follow. Cheers.

Continued success in your studies and career!

  20. Hi Shannon! Thanks for stopping by The Writer’s Stuff and liking / following! I’m originally also from Kansas (WIchita), but ended up half way around the world from there! I started writing in 2005, and will bring out my first novel this year (in between came little things like 2 albums…). I studied music at WSU rather than English Lit, and if I could do it over I’d go for a double major. 🙂

  21. Thanks so much for liking and following my blog! I read around this site a little bit, and it’s really encouraging to see someone at my stage in life publishing novels already! I’m excited to see more stuff from you.. you seem like a pretty motivated, fun person =)

  22. Hi Shannon! Nice to meet you! Thank you so much for following my writing blog!
Just so you’ll know, I will soon be merging this writing blog with my fairy tale blog and creating a basic literary blog. This blog, called Story Fairy’s Library, will contain all of my writing and fairy tale discussions as well as discussions of everything else I read. Please follow it at this address: http://thestoryfairyslibrary.wordpress.com/.
There’s nothing on it yet, but I will be posting the contents of my fairy tale blog and later my writing blog on it. As you read these old posts, please pick out which ones are your favorites and tell me what you’d like to see more of on my new blog. That will help me decide what the first new posts on Story Fairy’s library should be. Thanks, and take care! 🙂
