About

Welcome!

CwdWbODUQAAdrqY

I write romantic fantasy where magic is real and love is dangerous.

My books are full of genre-blending plot twists and impossible choices that will make you suffer in the best way possible. (Not to mention so. much. yearning.)

Two of my romantic fantasy series are now available:

🗡 Minutes Before Sunset – a Midwest-inspired rural romantasy where the “dark side” are actually the good guys (and everyone has two faces—literally!)
Bad Bloods – a dark dystopian fantasy that’s part X-Men, part rebellion, all heart (& found family)

When I’m not writing, I work in Art Rights & Permissions at Penguin Random House Audio and bake cookies at midnight while binging K-dramas. I’m also a cat mom to two mischievous gremlins. I’m represented by Gallt & Zacker Literary agency.

Ready to chat books? ☕ You can reach me at via my Contact page. I’ll be drinking coffee when I read your message.

  1. Hey Shannon! Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking post and for the follow! I hope that your final year goes well! And nice to meet another English major!

  2. Thanks for for stopping by my blog, Shannon. I was an English major too (just a few years ago) at the University of Arkansas. (Whooo Pig!) I’m adding November Snow to my
    “to-read” stack.

    1. Thank you for asking this because I just answered an email about that! I am looking into the possibility right now, and if I end up able to produce it electronically, I will make an announcement

  3. Thanks for following my blog. I see you are a fellow cat lover. Have you checked out my poem, Jasper the Despot Cat? 🙂

  4. Hi Shannon, thank you for visiting my blog. I’m enjoying yours, as well! I am not very good at blogging on a regular basis, and I have great admiration for those of you who do so! Looking forward to reading more!

  5. Hi Shannon,
Thanks for your like and follow of the Lore! Liking and following is just what it’s for.

Best of luck with your degree and brilliant writing life ahead.

  6. Shannon – In my youth, I won an Honorable Mention in a nationwide creative writing contest but no one encouraged that avenue for me. As a result, I spent 35+ years in a different line of work that sapped all my joy in life. Don’t let that happen to you. Do whatever you have to do to make writing happen for you as a career. If you need housing, look into the Tiny House movement. Thanks for visiting my blog.

      1. Google this because pictures do it more justice than words. People who wanted to downsize, were affected by the financial crash, or wanted to create more freedom in their life (from rent/mortgage), have chosen to live in VERY small houses they build themselves on wheels. Dee Williams is the poster girl for living in an 84 sq ft house she’s drive all over the country. My favorite, because it has more of life’s necessities is at http://tinyhouseswoon.com/our-tiny-house/ but to see the “necessities,” you have to also look at her website at smallhousecatalog.com.

  7. Hi there, Shannon. I don’t know who’s more endearing, you or Bogart. Wow… first completed novel at age 16?!?! WTH?? Impressive as well as intimidating. With that kind of start, I’m sure you will go far. Best of luck with all your endeavors!

  21. It’s good to meet ya Shannon! It’s inspiring that you’ve already written a novel. I’m still working on my first…although I use the phrase “working on” loosely. Nice choice of theme by the way 🙂
