Welcome!

I write romantic fantasy where magic is real and love is dangerous.
My books are full of genre-blending plot twists and impossible choices that will make you suffer in the best way possible. (Not to mention so. much. yearning.)
Two of my romantic fantasy series are now available:
🗡 Minutes Before Sunset – a Midwest-inspired rural romantasy where the “dark side” are actually the good guys (and everyone has two faces—literally!)
⚡ Bad Bloods – a dark dystopian fantasy that’s part X-Men, part rebellion, all heart (& found family)
When I’m not writing, I work in Art Rights & Permissions at Penguin Random House Audio and bake cookies at midnight while binging K-dramas. I’m also a cat mom to two mischievous gremlins. I’m represented by Gallt & Zacker Literary agency.
Ready to chat books? ☕ You can reach me at via my Contact page. I’ll be drinking coffee when I read your message.
Talk to you soon!

Hi Shannon, it is nice to know about you and thanks for visiting my blog. I really liked your writing style. Keep it going !!!
Hey Shannon! Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking post and for the follow! I hope that your final year goes well! And nice to meet another English major!
Hi Shannon, Thanks for visiting my blog. Your love of writing is obvious. I like your style and will look forward to following it.
Thanks for for stopping by my blog, Shannon. I was an English major too (just a few years ago) at the University of Arkansas. (Whooo Pig!) I’m adding November Snow to my
“to-read” stack.
Hi Shannon, thanks for following my blog. I hope you enjoy it.
Your book looks interesting. Any chance it’s going to come out in Kindle format?
Thank you for asking this because I just answered an email about that! I am looking into the possibility right now, and if I end up able to produce it electronically, I will make an announcement

Thanks for following my blog. I see you are a fellow cat lover. Have you checked out my poem, Jasper the Despot Cat? 🙂
No, I have not. Can you send me a link please? I’d love to read it.

Thank you for liking my post and introducing me to new places.
Always. I loved how you put that “introducing me to new places.” Beautiful way of writing out such a wonderful compliment.

Hi Shannon, thank you for visiting my blog. I’m enjoying yours, as well! I am not very good at blogging on a regular basis, and I have great admiration for those of you who do so! Looking forward to reading more!
Love this. You sound like a breath of fresh air! 🙂 I drive a manual too. 😉
Thank you for visiting my blog and following too. I appreciate that very much. I am pleased to find your blog. 🙂
Hi Shannon,
Thanks for your like and follow of the Lore! Liking and following is just what it’s for.
Best of luck with your degree and brilliant writing life ahead.

Thanks for following my blog. Blessings.
Glad you stopped by and liked my poems. I grew up across the river from Kansas. Stick with your writing. I wish I had followed that urge in life sooner, but alas.
Shannon – In my youth, I won an Honorable Mention in a nationwide creative writing contest but no one encouraged that avenue for me. As a result, I spent 35+ years in a different line of work that sapped all my joy in life. Don’t let that happen to you. Do whatever you have to do to make writing happen for you as a career. If you need housing, look into the Tiny House movement. Thanks for visiting my blog.
I appreciate the encouragement.
What is the Tiny House movement?
~SAT
Google this because pictures do it more justice than words. People who wanted to downsize, were affected by the financial crash, or wanted to create more freedom in their life (from rent/mortgage), have chosen to live in VERY small houses they build themselves on wheels. Dee Williams is the poster girl for living in an 84 sq ft house she’s drive all over the country. My favorite, because it has more of life’s necessities is at http://tinyhouseswoon.com/our-tiny-house/ but to see the “necessities,” you have to also look at her website at smallhousecatalog.com.
Thanks for the like and follow!
Thanks for the Like/Follow, very very much appreciated. Def gonna have to try your book.
Thanks for the like and the follow! I wish you the best of luck and will be following you on Twitter!
Hi there, Shannon. I don’t know who’s more endearing, you or Bogart. Wow… first completed novel at age 16?!?! WTH?? Impressive as well as intimidating. With that kind of start, I’m sure you will go far. Best of luck with all your endeavors!
Thanks for the follow:)
Bogart! That kills me. I’m a huge classic film connoisseur, and equally as addicted to coffee. That and poetry/creative writing. Thanks for checking out my blog!
Thanks for following Shannon..hope your like what I have to offer…sometimes my mind goes strange places…:).. Looking fwd to seeing what your all about…nice read in your ABOUT btw….and yes a manual is much more fun to drive….those other guys don’t know what their missing…(bunch of lazy drivers) ….My father died when I was twelve so I feel ya there…as you can tell I like talk talk talk talk…we should never meet because we would probably never shut up…cya!

Shannon, thanks for following ridingbitchblog.com. My goal is to be published in 2013 so I am very inspired by your achievements! Looking forward to following your blog and learning more about you.
I have an author for you to add to your list, Shannon… Carlos Ruiz Zafon, ‘The Shadow of the Wind’.
I would like to invite you to join the Friday Fictioneers and try your keyboard at a little 100 Word Flash Fiction. http://rochellewisofffields.wordpress.com/ Now, I’m off to check on your writing…
p.s. we could use some ‘young blood’ in the group… especially one so pretty.
I’ll check it out! I like flash fiction, although I haven’t dabbled in it as much as I wish.
~SAT
And which one of Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s novels should I check out first?
~SAT
The Shadow of the Wind
Right. I believe you said that. I will surely check that out. Sorry for the confusion!

On the outside, a cat’s life may be as long as a quarter of ours, so you have to love them at least four times more than people.
Hi Shannon! Thanks for stopping by my blog and following. I have really enjoyed reading about you. Your ‘About Me’ section is one of the best I’ve read on wordpress. Really well written and you give a really clear impression of yourself. Nice job. 🙂
I am looking forward to getting to know you through your writings. What a treat to have discovered you from your visit to my site!

Nice to meet a new follower online and see what makes them tick. I look forward to reading your posts. Curious to see how you found me. Perhaps it was from my review of Silver Linings Playbook my vote for worst movie of 2012. Write on as another blogger likes to say.

Hi Shannon, thanks for the like and following my blog..
It’s good to meet ya Shannon! It’s inspiring that you’ve already written a novel. I’m still working on my first…although I use the phrase “working on” loosely. Nice choice of theme by the way 🙂
